WE WON!
Janet Reno Surrenders to Reason, Allowing Boy Scouts on Federal Land

WASHINGTON, DC, September 3, 2000 (WebToday)-- Wow! And we thought Desert Storm was a quick battle.

In the battle of the Boy Scouts vs. The United States of American, the Boy Scouts just won.

As most of you have been following, The U.S. Department of the Interior asked the Justice Department how Bill Clinton's June 23 Executive Order would affect Boy Scout activities on Federal land.

WebToday posted more front page articles on the Boy Scouts than any other topic in the 5 year history of our daily Web publication. The previous record was held by our "Roby" Ridge coverage of the saga of Shirley Allen of tiny Roby, Illinois, who held police at bay for 39 days, refusing to be involuntarily committed to a mental health hospital.

Well, in just two days the battle is over. Attorney General surrendered to reason and is giving the "green light" for Scouts to camp on Federal land.

We want to thank all WebToday readers who took part in this short, but massive effort. Keep up the great work! Never quit.

--Editors, WebToday

Footnote: Now if the Renonista regime would only act that quickly on other vital conservative/Constitutional issues...such as rescinding Clinton's unconstitutional Executive Orders--all of them. Or, as an alternative, how about getting your Congressman to write a Bill revoking all of the President's Executive Orders? If it received 51% of the vote, it would be difficult for Bush, Buchanan, or even Gore, to veto it.

Why is Homosexual Marriage being Compared to Civil Rights?

By Jamiel Terry

DERBY, VERMONT, September 1, 2000 (WebToday)--The answer is simple, "He who defines the terms wins the debate." It is an age old saying, but beautifully applies to the situation that we have before us.

Why has the homosexual movement been able to get away with this obvious affront to those individuals like myself who truly are of a minority in this country? Because a liberal sympathetic media has repeated it so much that it is now truth to some individuals.

The Supreme Court in 1986 stated, "Groups wanting protected status must meet the following qualifications: They must be identifiable by an unchanging physical characteristic, they must prove prior discrimination in such areas as income, educational opportunities, and political power."

Homosexual Marriages Defy Vermont Constitution

South Park Hits New Low with Pedophilia, Abortion Themes
WASHINGTON, DC, August 30, 2000 (AgapePress)-- Comedy Central's animated show South Park, already controversial for its foul-mouthed children and themes like sodomy, homosexuality, and oral sex, hit new lows of wretchedness with a show about pedophilia and abortion.

The cable network always rates South Park TV-MA for adult audiences, but even adults should have been incensed at the June 21 episode. In that show, Eric unknowingly gets hooked up with the real-life pedophile group, North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).

A NAMBLA leader gives a spirited defense of his group's perversions, saying, "We are an organization dedicated to showing that sex between a man and a young boy can be a beautiful thing.... There is nothing wrong with love."

A number of blasphemous scenes occur, such as when one NAMBLA member says "Thank you, Jesus" for sending to the meeting a boy who they presume wants to have sex with men. Another pervert calls a different boy a "gift from God," when it is assumed that the youngster also wants to have sex with men.

Although NAMBLA is repudiated during the episode, AFA President Donald E. Wildmon excoriated both the producers of South Park and Comedy Central for airing it. "The show is bad enough each week, but why on earth would these people think pedophiles are f

unny?" he asked. "This was despicable, and hardly a peep of protest was heard from anyone. I shudder for this nation, because every form of perversion is becoming commonplace in the media."

In another storyline, little Kenny doesn't want his mother to have another child, and he resorts to trying to abort the baby against his mother's wishes. He is shown trying to purchase morning-after abortion pills--with repulsive names like "Baby-B-Gone," "Get It Outta Me!" and "Fetus Flusher"--and chasing his mother around with a plunger.

Boy Scouts Booed at Dem Convention
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. -- Even if you watched the Democratic convention from gavel to gavel, you might have missed one of the most newsworthy occurrences of the entire event. During the opening ceremonies, a group of Eagle Scouts came on stage to help launch the week's festivities. What the major networks' coverage of the Democratic convention did not tell you was the Eagle Scouts were roundly booed by the delegates. Most of the catcalls came from the California delegation.

"Gay" Agenda

August 16, 2000-- In recent years, homosexual activists have used many venues to successfully advance their agenda. However, there are times when this activism is entirely inappropriate. And what went on at a publicly funded teachers' workshop in Massachusetts will illustrate this point.

Thought for the day:

God loves the homosexual, but hates their sin. He would have saved Sodom for one righteous man or woman. He found none. Now we can't find Sodom. It's no longer a question of "if" The U.S. will be judged for embracing sodomy--it's a question of when and how severely. Repent before it's too late.
Here's how.

Web Publication Helps Force Reno's Hands on Boy Scouts
WASHINGTON, DC, September 3, 2000 (WebToday)-- In the battle of the Boy Scouts vs. The United States of American, the Boy Scouts just won.

WebToday, a daily alternative Web-based E-zine, was one of the major players that influenced Attorney General Reno's decision to allow Boy Scouts to camp on Federal land.

But their iconoclastic methods resembled "shuttle diplomacy" more than journalism. In rapid-fire succession, WebToday interviewed the three top media spokesmen for the Department of the Interior, Vice President Al Gore, and The Boy Scouts.

Clinton/Gore Split Over Executive Order that Could Revoke Boy Scouts Charter
By WebToday Midwest bureau staff writers

CHICAGO, September 1, 2000 (WebToday)-- An executive order signed by President Clinton on June 23, 2000 may be the source of a significant split in policy and philosophy between President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore.

The U.S. Department of the Interior is investigating whether a June 23 Executive Order forbids Boy Scouts from camping in federal parks due to the Scouts' alleged discriminatory practices against homosexuals.

"Morally Straight" Phrase in Boy Scout Pledge Rattles ACLU
CHICAGO, September 1, 2000 (WebToday)-- Not everyone is in agreement with the pledge Boy Scouts are required to memorize, recite and adhere to. Of particular debate is the part of the pledge requiring the Scouts to remain "morally straight."

The U.S. Department of the Interior is reportedly working to see if they can bar Boy Scouts from camping in federal parks due to their alleged discrimintory practrices.

Commenting on the proposed ban, ACLU Media Spokesman Ed Yohnka told WebToday, "There are federal laws on the Boy Scout matter that mandate that the Federal Government not support activities that engage in discriminatory behavior. The Boy Scouts of America in the Dale case before the Supreme Court argued that one of the reasons they exist is to exclude gay persons. It raises significant questions for governmental bodies."

Mandatory Homosexual Indoctrination Passes 41 to 30 by California Assembly
by WebToday Political Writer Jerry Mack

SACRAMENTO, CA, AUGUST 31, 2000 (WebToday)-- The California Assembly passed a bill late Tuesday night that makes it mandatory for California teachers to teach and promote homosexuality in public schools.

The measure now moves to the desk of Governor Gray Davis who is expected to promptly sign it into law. Davis has been an activist on the bill, and spearheaded "The Blue Ribbon Panel on Hate Groups" that released its pro-homosexual final report in February 2000.

The homosexual lobby successfully got moderated legislators to vote for the bill that was bathed in euphanisms bearing no resemblance to violent and highly unhealthy lifestyle associated with sodomy.

Attack Against Boy Scouts is an Assault Against Freedom
Editorial by Rev. Louis P. Sheldon, Chairman, Traditional Values Coalition

WASHINGTON, DC, August 30, 2000 (WebToday)-- Last week's nationwide protest against the Boy Scouts by homosexual groups like PFLAG (Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), Scouting for All, and GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network), is a chilling reminder of how fragile our freedoms are in this country.

The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled that the Boy Scouts have the First Amendment right of "freedom of association" to exclude homosexuals. Organizations have the constitutional right to set their own membership standards-and this freedom should not be violated. In the view of Boy Scout leaders, persons who engage in anal or oral sodomy are not "morally straight." Go to full text of Boy Scout editorial.

Vermont Clerk Who said "No" to signing Homosexual Marriage Certificates Could Face Criminal Charges
By Vermont State Representative Nancy Sheltra

WASHINGTON, DC, August 29, 2000 --Vermont's civil union (homosexual marriage) law, which went into effect officially July 1, 2000, forces town clerks to issue the marriage certificate.

They do have one exception that allows them to appoint an assistant as their representative for the task.

Sue Fortuanti, from Corinth, decided to appoint Vermont's Governor Howard Dean, and her State Senator Mark McDonald to be her assistants, she refused to issue the certificates.

$328 MILLION AWARDED AGAINST PEDOPHILES
August 27, 2000--In what is a stunning victory for families of young children everywhere, a Massachusetts court awarded a $328 million judgment on behalf of the family of a ten-year old boy who was kidnapped by a couple of pedophiles and brutally sodomized and murdered.

In October 1997, during the murder trial of Salvatore Sicari and Charles Jaynes, the prosecution showed that the perpetrators were sexually obsessed with Jeffrey Curley. Jeffrey was lured away from his neighborhood on the promise of "a new bike". When Jeffrey resisted their sexual advances, he was smothered with a rag soaked in gasoline. His body was then stuffed in a Rubbermaid container and thrown in a river.

Reno Thinks Boy Scouts are a Hate Group

WASHINGTON, DC, September 1, 2000 (WebToday)-- Apple pie, motherhood and Boy Scouts may have been been the American ideal for decades, but Janet Reno thinks quite differently.

Now she's branding the Boy Scouts as a "hate group" to add to her others, Home Schooling families, Evangelical Christians or anyone who is pro-Constitution.

The Renonista-ClinGorian chant for today is that the Boy Scouts may be violating a White House executive order for "special legal protections to be given to homosexuals."

It has been revealed that an internal memo from the Interior Department's Bureau of Reclamation has asked for a probe of an upcoming Boy Scout Jamboree to be conducted at Fort A.P. Hill in Bowling Green, Virginia. In the memo it asks for information on whether or not the Boy Scouts receive direct or indirect monetary assistance from the federal government so that the Scouts can be banned from camping on federal land grabs .

Boy Scouts Picket Falls Flat

The group conducting the protest called themselves "Scouting for All." They peacefully picketed in front of several Boy Scout headquarters around the nation demanding the installation of homosexual scout leaders and members.

Vermont's Homosexual "Marriages" Will Affect all 50 States

WASHINGTON, DC, August 28, 2000-- Vermont's civil union (homosexual marriage) law will affect every state in our nation.

The largest percentage of the individuals receiving Vermont's civil union certificates are not Vermont residents.

Recently, a New York homosexual couple was "united" in the Derby Line, Vermont Universalist Church, by Revered Dwinell. They shared their plan with Reverend Dwinell to go back to New York after the ceremony and sue New York State for recognition of their civil union.
